Chewing Mara was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1971 to 1988 draws and paints in a self-taught. In 1989 he settled in Buenos Aires, Argentina and enters a graphic design workshop, which takes place in silk-screen until 1992. In 1993 he returned to Montevideo Contino with paint, using acrylic as the primary means in his works. Since 1997, study tours for different passes in Europe and the United States. In the year 2002 he joined the Taller del Maestro Guillermo Fernndez where he studied drawing and painting until the end of 2004. In November 2004 he moved to London where he currently resides.
